Starting in 2023, we have collaborated with NEC to offer annual E4E workshops to their membership.
In 2023, we ran a Train the Trainers series for NEC members, where participants went through the curriculum and sharpened their popular education skills to facilitate E4E in their own communities.
In March-April 2025, CED ran a 5-session virtual workshop series, with brilliant co-facilitators from our previous Train the Trainers series: Daniel Park from Obvious Agency, Rodnika C from Dream Defenders, and Varun Khattar Sharma from Cooperate Connecticut and the People’s Saturday School.
In May-June 2026, we ran a 6-session virtual Train the Trainers series, once again featuring co-facilitators from previous workshop series. Participants sharpened their analysis of our current economic system, explored real-world alternatives, and reflected on how the E4E curriculum can support organizing and political education in their own communities. Together, we practiced creating E4E workshops, experimented with popular education and narrative tools, and watched A Collective Future to reflect on resist-build strategies.
The E4E 6-part series is the most intentional learning space I have ever experienced when it comes to analyzing capitalism and exploring alternative models of economy, along with materials to teach and educate these topics. The facilitation of Sarah, Daniel, Francisco (and more) is above and beyond, I’ve never been in a 6-week online learning container where I noticed my peers increasingly more engaged and participating all the way through the end. I am leaving this workshop with a practical toolbox to educate, articulate, and organize towards a solidarity economy.
